Nathan Kaplan is a partner and managing director of Kaplan Residential, spearheading the firm’s acquisitions, site sourcing, development coordination, and asset management. In just over 10 years, Nathan has played a key role in growing Kaplan Residential’s pipeline to nearly $300 million in new development, solidifying the firm as a leader in the build-to-rent sector within the Southeast United States.

From concept to delivery, Nathan oversaw one of the Kaplan Residential’s most successful projects, “Generation Atlanta,” the one-of-a-kind, stunning 17-story high-rise in downtown Atlanta. Nathan championed for the city’s first-ever prescient light-gauge steel structural system, which helped the development comply with the city’s initiative for increased affordable housing – a passion point for him.

Nathan is an active member of the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District. Understanding market dynamics, he has spoken on panels, including one focused on affordable housing and reputable development with U.S. State Senator Raphael Warnock. Through entirely pro-bono efforts, Nathan helped Chabad Intown Atlanta acquire and revamp the synagogue’s location in the heart of The Beltline.

Nathan earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance & Real Estate from Indiana University Kelley School of Business. In his pastime, Nathan is a volunteer with the Friendship Circle’s Atlanta Chapter and is an avid athlete and fitness enthusiast.
